Friday 04th April, 07:34 AM JST
TOKYO —
Actress Yukie Nakama, 28, this week prayed for the success of NTV’s revived drama series “Gokusen” at a special shrine made for the event at NTV headquarters in Shiodome, Tokyo.
In the popular drama, based on a manga series, Nakama plays Kumiko Yamaguchi, the granddaughter of a yakuza boss and teacher at an all-boys private high school. Her yakuza background, which she tries to keep secret, helps her deal with her class which is full of delinquents (some of whom have been played by idols from Johnny’s Jimusho talent agency)
The new series will be released nationwide on April 19.

'Wouldn't call "Gokusen" a "drama".. more like a "slapstick comedy"...
