TOKYO —
Actress Yumi Adachi, 26, this week attended a seminar on child-raising for mothers, which was organized by American toymaker Fisher-Price, in Tokyo. Adachi brought her 2-year-old daughter along.
She said to reporters, “I don’t want my daughter to work in showbiz. She can be selfish to some extent because she’s a girl.” Asked about some reports by tabloid media that her comedian husband, Jun Itoda, 35, doesn’t help her take care of their daughter, she said, “That’s not true. He has recently become more aware of his role as a father.”
