Yumiko Shaku given 'E-Line' award for most beautiful profile

TOKYO —

Actress Yumiko Shaku, 30, is the recipient of this year’s “E-Line Beautiful” award from the Japan Association of Adult Orthodontics. The award is given to the female celebrity with the most beautiful profile. The association judges a candidate from the bridge of her nose to her chin.

Shaku said, “I always try to smile and appreciate every little happiness in my daily life. I also do facial exercise to keep my cheeks pushed up.”

In other words, her mouth. Including her teeth, lips and tongue. Now, I happen to know ( well, know of ) several women who would give Yumiko a run for her money in the mouth department, one of whom would be Julia Roberts ha ha ha that was a joke, one of whom would be, believe it or not, golfer Ai Miyazato - that girl's got some of the whitest teeth on the planet!

She had some serious work on her nose and chin done a couple of years ago -- she claimed it was required because of a traffic accident or something and that it wasn't cosmetic. Which is fine, but to award her a beauty award? Shouldn't it go to her PS?
