Absolutely pointless award that shouldn't even constitute news.

Why would anyone pay any attention to these marketing campaigns terribly disguised as shallow and fake awards?

Like it or not, this is the modern Japanese culture: Producing replaceable idol groups, melodramatic entertainment content, awards for decorating eyes, nails, jeans, and advancements in electronics used for odd purposes.

Every country makes their own versions of crap, and this is Japan's crap.

Everything that's wrong with the Japanese "entertainment" industry in a single headline! Well done.

What's worse than the meaningless award, are the completely arbitrary "categories" Arts, Economist, Special Glasses, C'mon Complete bovine feces. Haven't you something better to do with your time than to make up this crapola?

They're the same people who grew up watching toy advertisements terribly disguised as shallow and fake cartoons/anime. To them, this is NATURAL.

Whats with the sunglasses that are bigger than the heads is it because of all the glitter they are wearing and blinding themselves from the reflections!

I am so proud of AKB! Seriously! They keep racking up awards in Japan, even the somewhat questionable ones like this! I also love that my last comment got so many negative reviews. Good to know everyone on Japan Today still hate AKB! GOOOOOOOOO AKB48!!!
