“Talent” Aki Hoshino, 32, was the guest of honor this week at an event in Tokyo to promote action film “Doomsday,” which opens in cinemas Sept 19. The sci-fi thriller sees Scotland sealed off by the British government due to a deadly virus outbreak in 2008. A few decades later they send a crack team in after hearing reports of a cure, and the team find themselves in a bit of deadly trouble with plague survivors.
What does all this have to do with Hoshino? Nothing, of course. The real talk of the day concerned reports that Hoshino went to Hokkaido recently to talk with Michifumi Kono, trainer and mentor of 19-year-old JRA jockey Kosei Miura, who Hoshino is rumored to be seeing.
But Hoshino said she hadn’t been to Hokkaido recently and that she was surprised by the tabloid article, but more so when her mother called her asking if she was getting married. Hoshino said there would be no wedding this year, and that she had plenty of time left to take things calmly and slowly.
Kosei is in England for training at the moment, and Hoshino said that while she wouldn’t be taking a plane over, she is rooting for him.

I think dating the jockey was just fad like little dogs in handbags. Maybe if he was more successful in his races then the marriage option would being speeding up. She is just stringing the poor guy along until something better comes along or she has no other options.
Wasn't she the one who was mistaken for being a prostitute in a Macau Casino?

I think the first thing the fake western priest would say when seeing this Hoshino and her 19-yr old jockey would be 'Are you two old enough to get married?'

No-one in Japan would bat an eyelid at a 31 year old man dating a 19 year old. Actually they're physically well matched, both being at the average sexual peak (18-20 for men, early 30s for women) though she'd probably have to train him some.

A 12-year difference in ages is surmountable these days and becomes even less of an issue the longer the relationship progresses. Of course the hard part is getting past the first couple of years. They need to be VERY compatible as far as likes and dislikes are concerned.
