Aki Hoshino, right, with Uno Kanda
Thursday 04th June, 03:00 AM JST
TOKYO —
Fashion designer/ TV “talento” Uno Kanda, 34, this week revealed her new line of wedding dresses, “Scena D’uno,” at a presentation at Tokyo’s Yebisu Garden Place. Decked out in a Japanese-style piece of the bridal collection was Aki Hoshino, 32, of whom designer Kanda saidd, “She’s the cutest celeb in her 30s, and this kimono really makes her look fabulous.”
Hoshino seemed to like the dresses more than the thought of marriage itself, joking coyly, “I don’t mind if I don’t get married right away, I’d love to wear these as many times as possible. There’s no man who’s really caught my eye—better start looking!”
Kanda, who finally married her husband in 2007 after knowing him for eight years but has yet to welcome a visit from the stork, assured reporters that, “There’s no hurry.”

Uno Kanda is a looser! I have no idea why such a lovely young girl like Aki Hoshino is in the same picture as Uno Kanda (who just got married but has been fooling around with other guys and so has her husband, rich pachinko owner)

Wow, another "talento", with no obvious talent, becomes a fashion designer worthy of news coverage. I know an analogy could be drawn to Paris Hilton, but this seems to the rule here rather than the exception. Do women really buy these "designs"?

if she gets married her career is over. could it be that, shock horror, she doesn't need to get married?!

It should be written as either complete romaji "tarento" or plain English "talent", not talento...which is a mixture of both, though it sounds more Italian or Spanish!

Most of the girls that are "Talento" in Japan look great but if you look in their ears you will see a sign were the brain is ment to be saying "SPACE FOR RENT". Nice to look at, maybe nice to bed, but you would not want them as your girlfriend or wife as they are too thick!

doesn't 'being a bride' imply that you're getting married in the near future ? and uh, kanda ? there's no stork
