Model and celebrity Anna Umemiya, 37, flew back into Japan this week following a work assignment in Australia and found herself surrounded by some 30 reporters after passing through customs at Narita. Reporters wanted to know about her relationship with X-League American Football player Yu Nakajima, 28.
Nakajima also played in the NFL Europe football league before its demise in 2007 and represented Japan in the American Football World Cup in 2007. Umemiya said she had been seeing the burly wide-receiver since last December, and said he was very cheerful and athletic, adding there was a lot she could learn from him.
Umemiya also said that her 8-year-old daughter was very happy with her selection of a new partner, saying that she was in fact the happiest of everybody.
When asked about being 9 years older than Nakajima, Umemiya said it wasn't important. On the subject of marriage, she said she'd like to take it slowly, but added she would like to get married again if things go well.

The age difference stands out more when you realize that Anna Umemiya did a special photo book with then-boyfriend Kenji Haga when Yu Nakajima was in junior high school.
Time passes fast. Just think that if they get married, Anna will hit the big 50 before Nakajima-san hits middle age.

The world needs to get their priorities straight...they send 30 reporters to meet her (who cares) and they probably sent 2 to cover the devastation in Haiti. How sad.
