TOKYO —
Model and actress Anne Watanabe, 23, daughter of actor Ken Watanabe, 49, was invited to an event at Toho Cinemas in Roppongi Hills this week to help promote the upcoming release of Walt Disney’s “A Christmas Carol,” a 3-D film starring actor Jim Carrey, 47, directed by Robert Zemeckis, 57, and based on Charles Dickens’ 1843 classic.
Zemickis and co-producer Steve Starkey joined Watanabe at the event. Watanabe, wearing a red dress to go with the theme of Christmas, took part in watching a 25-minute preview of the film, and said she was impressed. “I went to Christian schools until junior high and was part of the choir, and as I watched the preview I found myself humming to some of the songs,” she said.
Zemickis said: “It’s the best time travel story of all time, and I wanted to present it the way I believe Dickens pictured it,” before asking Watanabe to cast some of her magic over Japan to make everyone see the movie. Watanabe said she would do her best.
“A Christmas Carol” opens in cinemas on Nov 14. Carrey plays a handful of roles in the movie, including Ebenezer Scrooge as a young, middle-aged and old man, and also the three ghosts who haunt Scrooge.

Didn't know Ken Watanabe had such a cute and leggy daughter. Hard to be a Scrooge with her around, eh?

NIce legs on the Babe. I will not go see the flick though because Jim Carrey is in it. He is not funny.

Carey used to be hilareous, but now he goes so far over the top, it becomes embarasing to watch. I hope he contains himself and gives this wonderful story some respect. It might actually be good, then.
