I was privileged to see them on the Flick of the Switch tour w/Fastway in '83. That was their final relevant recording. Everything after has been too cliched and commercial (except for Phil Rudd's new solo release = huge disappointment). We can only hope that this new CD will offer either something completely different or a return to form last heard in the anger and bitterness of the first years after losing Bon.

@ Shinhiyata - good points. I wasn't aware Rudd had released a solo album, just checked. Interesting title : Head Job!

@ tooheysnew - yeah, the very least they should be described as is an Australian/Scottish band. Phil Rudd is hardly British ...

sad. Its been reported that Malcolm Young is suffering from dementia. There is no "get well" for him. That being the case, a THANK YOU is definitely in order. Go easy, Malcolm.

I saw them in the summer on their first U.S. tour in Chicago back in the 70s. It was love at first sight. They performed as a surprise special guest along with Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush, Foreigner & Aeorsmith (who didn't play well at all that day), and AC/DC rocked the house down. I was only about 20 feet from the front stage so it was a real treat. Bon & Angus were both on fire that day. I had never heard music like that before and went out and bought most of their LPs the very next day.

When I saw the article heading here "Young not returning", all I could think was not Angus!

Malcom will be surely be missed, but Angus is an essential ingredient.
