Watched in the US when it came out... Half empty theater, 18 dollars for 2.... Probably will order Bluray for about 25 bux when it comes out Movie was great
So why should I bother with Japanese scam called movie industry? By the time it hits theaters in Japan in August, you can probably boot leg it in high def with 7.1 surround.

Oh yea, that movie that MPAJ refuses to allow into Japan until three weeks before bluray release in US? I'll take my bluray and say have fun with all the pirates.

Ahh, but with the new copyright law, they can just sit and monitor the IP addresses downloading the pirated copy and then go in and fund the Tohoku clean-up with all the fines levied against the IP address owners. If the ISP doesn't want to cough up the address of the user, no problem! Levy the fine against the ISP as an accomplice to the crime.

And what a great movie it was. The Hulk totally killed. "Puny god."
Totally wrecked me. Laughed out loud.

“The Avengers” starring Samuel L Jackson, Robert Downey Jr, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson and Mark Ruffalo was made for an estimated $220 million. >
The article forgets to mention the guy who played Thor. Try to be a little more accurate please.

@nisegaijin... Half empty theatre in the US ??.... Sure about that???..... Avengers had the biggest opening weekend of all time at over $200 million grossed... and i saw last week that Avengers has already taken over the number 3 spot as highest grossing movie of all time!.. The movie was excellant!... much better than Avatar or the story of the sinking boat.

Funny how Americans are so fascinated by animation and cartoonish type comic book movies. How come the highest growing films are sheer fiction? How come the mega hits like Pulp Fiction or Inception aren't higher grossing? Perhaps because America's youth population is over 140 million....but nonetheless, all Americans are kids at heart if they watch this garbage. I turned avatar off in ten minutes. Movie was junk.

@ Arsenio Buck... Not sure what you are talking about.. You keep down talking Americans and their movie tastes but Avatar was a hit WORLDWIDE.... i guess everybody in the world, not just Americans like science fiction fantasy and cartoonish movies
