Aya Ueto
Wednesday 15th July, 04:00 AM JST
TOKYO —
Actress Aya Ueto, 23, attended an event in Chiyoda Ward this week held by Sanyo Foods to announce their new products within the Sapporo Ichiban cup pasta range. Ueto will star in the commercial for the new 100% durum wheat products which will go on sale nationwide on Aug 3.
Ueto, appointed “honorary apron chief” for the event, surprised the media when she hopped off stage and had a cameraman, much to his delight, try the cup pasta she had just prepared. “It’s no different from authentic Italian pasta,” she boasted as she spoon-fed the lucky man.
Ueto later said she began learning how to cook when she was 19, saying that she thought it would be embarrassing if she turned 20 and couldn’t cook. A reporter asked Ueto if she was learning cooking for a certain special someone, and she replied: “Until now I’ve only cooked for my family, but I hope to head in that direction. I want to be a good mother and wife.”

instant noodles in a cancer-causing plastic cup is not the same as italian pasta..its not even in the same universe...one is actual food, one is, uh, a japanese facsimile. If coooking proper pasta for 7 minutes is beyond your capabilities, you should just lock yourself indoors.

Stirfry, it's exactly the same. They serve the same stuff in Italy. You think there's something special about Italian pasta? There isn't. It's instant, you just add boiling water. Same thing. Just in Italy it's made by people who aren't so bright, have hairy hands and smell bad, and smoke whilst they cook. That's the only difference there big guy.

Except it's not "authentic", not "Italian" and probably not "pasta" for say.

So being a good wife means cooking well. I thought it had more to do with comprehension, patience, support and things like that...
