Aya Ueto appears on postage stamps

TOKYO —

Actress Aya Ueto, 22, this week released a set of original postage stamps with her photo on them. The stamps are available at her official website and post offices will sell them through catalog order from July 18.

Ueto, who appeared in yukata for the Tanabata festival, said “It’s an honor because I’m the first actress to appear on a stamp in Japan. I like letters because my emotions appear in the characters I write, which is good for conveying my feelings in a direct way.”

Out of many beautiful and adorable Japanese idols Aka Ueno is one of my least favorites.

I wouldn't kick her out of bed for eating crackers, therefore, she's alright in my book to appear on a stamp.

I have never understood what people adore about prebubescence.

Huh? A 22 year old woman is hardly "prebubescent."

Nice Kimono, but I don't think I'll be licking those stamps. Hopefully they're the automatic sticky kind.

  • European1 at 01:20 PM JST - 10th July

posters! "I would lick it", "I wouldn`t allow her to get out of my bed" and so on, and so on...Common people...have seen her without make up and in real life? Too much imagination. Good, that these are only stamps.

Her hair is not right for the kimono. Exquisite woman like me won't buy fashion challenged stamps.

European1 - I'm Ueto Aya's fan. I never write anything derogatory or creepy when there's an Ueto Aya news story. Does it matter how she looks without makeup etc? There are people who are just her fans without being a pervert.

  • Kijimuna at 11:09 AM JST - 22nd July

rjd jr, her appeal to her fans has always been about kawaii. not using 'prepubescence' in the strictest sense.
