Actress Aya Ueto, 25, showed off a new line of wedding dresses which she helped design at a mini-fashion show this week. Not only did Ueto lend her name to the line, known as "U Aya Ueto Dresses," but she also helped to model some of them. Ueto appeared on stage wearing both mermaid white and vivid red wedding dresses.
Ueto commented, "There are lots of dresses here I'd like to wear myself." When Ueto, who is dating Exile lead singer Hiroyuki Igarashi, 41, was asked if she thought she would have a chance to wear any of the dresses before the end of the year, she declined to comment.

I usually get annoyed when the Japanese media ask whether a young woman is pregnant or when they're getting married, but I guess the question is inevitable when you're single and modeling a wedding dress. She does look pretty.

What is it with the fixation of Japanese on marriage and children of stars? Im not a big fan of Ueto, but there is a poster in the subway here where her face just looks gorgeous.

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume the original comment had to do more with the Japanese FIXATION on marriage, like the question asked of Ms. Ueto about if she'd be getting hitched this year.

Wild, this is giving me a flashback to Hamasaki Ayumi modeling her wedding dress on Kohaku only days before getting hitched to an Austrian music video actor, Manuel. Manny should audition for EXILE if Hiroyuki Igarashi goes on a permanent honeymoon.
