Actress-model Ayako Kawahara, 37, on Tuesday appeared at a lavish jewelry event to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the debut of jewelry designer and ex-singer Mitsuo Kaji, 64.

Kawahara, who wore diamond jewelry worth 450 million yen, said, “Even when I get older, I hope to be just as attractive as a diamond is.” Asked if there were any prospects for a ring on her wedding finger, she answered: “No plans at all. Please introduce me to someone nice.”

Funny you should say that Kissmint as i generally feel that North anerican and Australian women age quicker that the Japanese in terms of their appearance. Don't get me wrong, not a blight. I would have thought that if you all those layers of foundation your skin would deteriorate a lot quicker than someone without.

Kissmint: You're havin' a laff aren't ya? Over done, here? Naaa. State side they slap it on with a trowel and spade and use faaaaar to much perfume, cough. Plus they have to use so much more of it, more surface area, again, by faaaaaaaar. Ayako, for 37, however looks great.

What does a diamond ring ahve anything to do with love????? I guess it doesn't matter when love=mr. right is distorted and wrapped around materialistic by such women. I don't think diamonds are that beautiful and I'm a geologist. There are other minerals/rocks far more beautiful. I don't get the whole diamond thing.

I think many women are hardwired to like sparkly things, much like magpies do. I'm afraid that I'm equally keen on diamonds - bought myself a very nice ring to celebrate my divorce five years ago.
