Wow Ayumi. That was a fascinating comment.

This movie looks so bad I think it may top the Street Fighter movie for laughs

Crappy song for a crappy movie

This movie was a mistake to begin with, and I am sure it will tank, no matter who sings the theme song. thepro is right, and true fans will probably rake this film over the coals.

What's next? Is Hollywood going to do a live version of Crayon Shinchan? It would probably be pretty popular, due to the toilet humor, but would be hard to find an elementary school kid to walk around with his pants down saying "elephant, elephant". Then they would have to classify the film child porn...

Is she going to sing in English?

I bet the film is going to suck dragon balls.

    @ dennis0bauer:

It's interesting how you can judge a song that hasn't even been heard yet...

    and @ Altria:

No, like it states in the article, she's singing the song in Japanese and will serve as the theme song WORLD wide.

While I still think the movie is a mistake, it's endearing to know that Ayumi (who has previously stated in the past that she is fan) will be doing the song.

Altra - goes to show you how bankrupt Hollywood is of any new ideas to pursue when making a feature film. You would think they would have learned their lesson with that turkey of a movie called Speed Racer, but they're still paying their dues.

I'm just happy she's doing something "Hollywood" related rather then "Hong Kong" related this time .

Although I should withold judgement till the movie has been seen, I think that while Hollywood has done pretty well by remaking J-Horror movies on after the other, they really need to rethink this making live action Anime movies idea. The Japanese domestic film industry relies heavily on making live action versions of manga and anime, and only a small proportion could be called really succesful. Now whether a "westernized" live action anime, ala DiCaprio in Akira is going to work I have some serious doubts. Those who disagree with me often use the Matrix films, based on Ghost in the Shell, as an example of Hollywwod's ability to succeed in this area.

This girl is amazing! I came to Japan in 2002 at age 28. 6 years later I am 34. But since I have been here she has been anywhere between 28 and 30 for 6 years. What IS her secret??! Although I can`t really complain, another "well-known" singer has been anywhere between 19 and 22 since I arrived....at least 30 is a little more honest.

I think I'll pass on "DRAGON BALLS"...

I’m happy that Ayumi Hamasaki sing theme song for Hollywood’s Dragonball film because I love her. She is very pretty and can sing a song very well. I’m healed when I listen to her songs. I think this is a very nice opportunity for her to become more famous all over the world. I’m sure that she can get a lot of new fans in the world. Also I love Dragonball. I still often read Dragonball over and over again. Whenever I read it, I’m so excited!! Powerful fighting scene, relationship between Gohan and Pikkoro also Goku and Bejita are so good. I used to imitate Goku’s behavior for example Kamehameha when I was child.
