Becky launches her line of wedding dresses

TOKYO —

TV personality Becky, 24, on Tuesday launched her wedding dress brand “BCK message,” featuring her own designs. Becky unveiled several wedding dresses featuring both Western and Japanese designs.

Asked the obligatory question about her wedding plans, Becky said, “Right now, I’m more interested in having a good time than marriage itself. But if I get married, I’ll give you all souvenirs, such as T-shirts featuring me and my groom.”

Maybe her design consultant suggested that she needed something to draw attention away from her face.

T-shirts featuring me and my groom.

Rarely do I wish that god would smite someone but people who put their faces on a t-shirt deserve to smited good.

"Does she get good reception with that thing on her head?"

Only when she's facing Fuji TV.

Seriously though, I wonder how many people will buy those dresses. Actually if she titled that thing back a bit and ran a little faster, she could probably take off.

I can't stand her. Why oh why is she on TV??????

  • chardk1 at 01:11 PM JST - 28th January

I can't blame Becky for the fact that there are people stupid enough to buy a dress for the most important day of their life that was supposedly designed by an unmarried non-fashion designer whose modest fame comes from an unrelated field, especially when said dress looks like a costume from an off-off Broadway production of Babes in Toyland. I mean she's not going to be put up for a Nobel Peace Prize or anything for her contributions to humanity, but it's all her fault some people will buy any crap.

The tragic thing is, Japanese women with common sense don't have a voice in this country

I've actually seen worse dresses. This dress will appeal to the market segment that would look kindly on pink, frilly dresses. The type that marries a chap in one of those awful dress suits they wear here. The type that will get married in one of those disgraceful, fake "European" cathedrals that have sprung up next to pachinko parlors here and there.

Japanese weddings plumbed the dark depths of tackiness many years ago - this dress merely fits within the national custom.

If it succeed there was a market for it, good on Becky squeezing more money out this place before she fades. Wring as much money as you can girl.
