Is the new film really a 'reboot'? I thought it was going to be number 7 after the first six movies. Anyway, I pray Disney doesn't turn it into another John Carter -- I can just see them preparing to make the movie on Jar Jar Binks' home world.

It’s a story that can get very dark but it has to inspire hope—it must be fun

Pre-emptive facepalm. Disney will wreck this by making it family friendly, mark my words. The star wars movies featured people getting shot, cut up, eaten, etc. etc. Modern corporations and the MPAA will take out what little excitement would have been possible in a PG-13 movie. Add to that no respect for the samurai/jedi ethos and no respect for traditional animation and you have an appalling combination. Thanks alot Lucas!

Spaceships take geometric shapes that seem less than aerodynamic.

Spaceships not designed to operate in an atmosphere have no reason to be aerodynamic.

"No 'Star Wars' series would be complete without the iconic Jar Jar Binks." Ahh, so true. So true. [I'll quit now.]

I'm certainly not going to watch a cartoon.

Still better than the Lego version?

The Clone wars animated series is VERY very good, it has over 100 episodes of very high quality work. Sadly the new series shows the deadly hand of Disney medicroity I fear and i dont have much hope for it.
