Williams, not funny in my opinion.

JapanGal: I know I shouldn't take the bait...but really?
He may not have been your cup of tea, but this is honestly one of the first celebrities to die that I actually was both shocked and incredibly sad over. From my youth in watching Aladdin to Hook to even his newer more serious stuff.
He was as big a deal to my generation (Gen-X) as Tom Hanks or Schwarzenegger. We were too young to appreciate their earlier works, but they were always there on TV for us to laugh, cry or get pumped over.
As I grew up I was able to dig back into his earlier stuff and appreciate it.
It wasn't all my cup of tea either but I can say, without hesitation that Mr. Williams brought joy to this heart.

I won't give you a "thumbs down" because you clearly state that it is your opinion rather than a fact. I will only say the man was a comic genius when he burst on the scene with his portrayal of the alien Mork on "Happy Days" followed by the show "Mork and Mindy". His work as one of the hosts of Comic Relief over the years earned him tens of thousands of additional fans who had never watched him play Mork. His energy on-stage could reduce his veteran comic co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Billy Crystal into bouts of uncontrollable laughter. In MY opinion, a man who can make professional comics laugh uncontrollably is a "funny" man.
