I wasn't too impressed with "Tree of Life." His previous films were OK, with "Thin Red Line" being my favorite, but still a little to "artsy" for my tastes. I don't think I'll be seeing this movie.

"Tree of Life" made me sick to my stomach - unnecessary excessive camera movements - and it was dull. No way would I pay to see another similar Terrence Malick movie. It is much cheaper to spin myself around for 2 minutes and try not to puke.

Agree with above. "Tree of Life" looked like a bunch of film students at university having some fun. I could not wait for it to finish. Fast forwarded a lot of it, waiting for something to happen that did not insult the intelligence. Was the most wasteful two hours of my life. I mean, the dinosaurs? Come on! I quite enjoyed "Thin Red Line" though. At least it had characters that you could relate to. Do not think I will be watching any more Malick movies as this recent one sounds like more of the same. And no matter what, Ben Affleck will never help a movie. Do not understand how this guy is a movie star.

Isn't this 'opinion'? Doesn't warrant a valid comment.

In To the Wonder there is little acting in the traditional sense and many of the emotions are portrayed through facial expressions and gestures.

That isn't "acting in the traditional sense"??
