TOKYO —
Professional boxer Koki Kameda, 21, got a chance to meet Sylvester Stallone, 61, during the actor’s visit to Japan last week to promote “Rambo.” The two met on a TV Asahi variety program.
Kameda, who is a big fan of Stallone, did some self-promotion, saying, “My brothers and I have been fighting to become champions.” Stallone answered: “I have a hotel in Los Angeles. Why don’t you have a match there?”
The program, “London Hearts,” will be aired on May 20.

These washed-out celebrities seem to gravitate to one another regardless of cultural differences... :) Goro Inagaki cracked me up when he described the new Rambo film as a "horror movie," though I don't know if he was referring specifically to Stallone himself.

Uranus -
Apollo Creed isn't as tough as he looks.
Neither is Mr. T.

Hey!
I pity the fool who disses Mr. T.

I hope Stallone explained to Kameda that he's just an actor who plays a boxer.

Koki's just touting for a part in Rocky 35 I guess. I agree with you guys about this"fighter" He can't win outside of japan without TBS money "influencing" the judges! So no way will he ever fight outside japan.

This dare-devil young man's talent as a celebrity will never be on the wane, in spite of media blitz featuring his brother's unprofessional behavior inside and outside the ring as well as a recent sever with Kyouei gym.

Lucky Sly didn't step on the little punk and then scrape him off his shoe.

Hey... Rocky should kill one of Kameda's boxer friends so Kameda will come to Stallone's hotel to take revenge.

Dumb meets dumber?

one thing is sly is not dumb. in fact, he wrote "rocky" and refused to sell it unless he was the star. the studio wanted someone else. smart move on his part and now he is a multimillionaire with a young good looking wife. where exactly is the dumb part?

You're calling him dumb because of his speech impediment? If not, then why?
He was yanked from the womb at birth resulting in a severed nerve above his jaw. This caused his drooping eyelid and lip and has unfairly made him the butt of comedians' jokes for years.
I've seen him in interviews and he has an awesome vocabulary. He would probably be a world-famous English teacher as well!
I couldn't care less for any of his movies, but that doesn't mean I don't respect him for being successful in that business.

Nonsense. Unlike his brother Daiki, Koki can actually fight. He seems to have improved his attitude since relocating to Mexico to train with his younger brother. He was unconvincing against Jose Landaeta in their first fight but he easily won the rematch. Early on he was fighting nobodies (which is common for young, hyped up fighters - just look at Anthony Mundine) but his opposition has steadily improved. I don't like him as a person but, as a boxer myself, I am impressed by his skill set.
