Bubblegum Brothers to reunite after 12 years

Male hip hop duo Bubblegum Brothers are getting back together after 12 years. Bro. TOM, 52, and Bro. Korn, 52, made the announcement this week during an event promoting the movie “Death Race.”
TOM said he had suffered a heart attack in April, 2006, while KORN said he underwent a kidney transplant in August of 2006. They said they were doing OK and that their new album “Daddy’s Party Night” will be released on Dec 3.
KORN said, “People in their 40s and 50s are very energetic these days. That’s why we’ve decided to launch a sort of ‘oyaji’ band even if we die doing it.” TOM added, “We’re gonna be crazy again.”

I am someone who's heard their music in the past. Whether they have come back from life-threatening illnesses is irrelevant; they still make god-awful music IMO.
Am sure it will be lapped up by the masses and they'll be on Hey! Hey! Hey! in no time.

Soldave, doesn't matter. Worse acts have prospered in Japan and in other places. If there is a market for them and their fans from the days gone by want them back, more power to them.

These guys could be nowhere near annoying as HG (aka razor Ramon) or Kojima Yoshio. They definitely have much more inner fortitude and strength than most folks in entertainment as well. Seen AC/DC lately or David Gilmour? Talk about abusing bodies.

The Bubblegum Brothers were one of the first Japanese of this generation who tried hard to be black. Hence the current "blacanese" and hip hopper wannabes we see on the Tokyo streets today. More power to them.

I have to correct myself. The doo wop group The Chanels tried the same thing in "blackface" in the early '80s.
