By the way, Titanic was filmed down in south of Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, they have the Fox Studios there, if you all ever have time, very interesting tours and explanations on how it was made.

Good thing they didn't have 3D cameras and theaters at the time, I really enjoyed 2D Titanic.

He remains true to his comments about action scenes and 3-D movies. I've read that Cameron (as well as the rest of the crew) like the idea of the short movie, but eventually hated filming Terminator 2- 3D - complete logistical nightmare, and a total pain to film the scenes at a speed rate using 70mm film.

So does that mean 3D nude Kate Winslet?

I am so unimpressed, and generally bored by 3D in movies. To me, it is really not that special, and often, more than not, it's a distraction. Anyone else feel this way?

Milk it for all its worth. Prety capitalistic for such a devout liberal socialist. Wonder if all the money will go to the poor unfortunate souls they all think our money should go to? Guessing not, its our money they want!

3D ... Bah!
Of the top 300 films based upon US Box Office, Titanic ranks #6, behind Gone Wit The Wind (#1), Star Wars (#2) and The Sound Of Music (#3).
No doubt this 3D release will move it up the list, but not to the #1 slot. (This list was complied pre-Avatar.)

Bull8hit. you can't make 3D without shooting in 3D camera. If you make 3D out of 2D film its fake.

What they do is they just print the same copy of the film on original film (just moving it little bit horizontally) and change the color (hue, saturation) on both and calling it a 3D. They are making fool to everyone to make some more money out of same movie.

The 3D conversion processed being used on Titanic is nothing like what farhaan describes (which wouldn't even make a 3D image). Cameron it putting a ton of time and money into going frame by frame, water droplet by water droplet adjusting depth and volume. It's not even as simple as running it through a computer to convert it. A proper conversion like this is subjective, creative, and done under the eye of the director.
