‘‘I feel sorry that my having tuberculosis affected society due to the disease’s nature.’’
Who in the world apologizes for having a disease? More to the point, who the world would demand such an apology?
Ms. Minowa's comedy team Hari-Sen-Bon is fun to watch and Japan would be less bright without her contributions to entertainment. She has nothing to apologize for. Welcome back, Haruka. Glad you made a recovery!
these days , tuberculosis is a curable disease, when the sick person has already taken in a set of medicine for consecutive 3 months, i may say that it won't bother those who get near her/him anymore.
Somewhere, there's an ugly tree missing a lot of branches.
I asked Mrs. Coughalot about this bag of bones, and she told me that being ugly is what she (Minowa, not my fruitful vine)does. Just as you can make a living here from not wearing socks, or being obese, this woman's schtick is having a face like a bag of smashed arseholes.
That consitutes entertainment in this burg. I'm glad she's better, but could do without seeing her back on the box.
I am glad she's back. LFRAgain, I agree that it is strange to apologize, but this is Japan, and apologizing for just about anything is the norm. It did cause a bit of a panic when it was announced, as I believe because it is an airborne disease, many entertainers and audience members had tests to see if they were infected or not. I think the results were no one was infected. IvanCoughalot, one of her jokes is that she resembles the Grim Reaper. Generally speaking, Harisenbon's gags are all related to the fact that neither of them are "beautiful". Welcome back, Haruka!

I thought tuberculosis was a disease of the poor and malnutritioned...

LoveUSA - don't know about the former but looking at some of the JDM models then the latter symptom would certainly make me worried for them.
