Tomochika said, “I didn’t know anything about the survey until I was appointed ambassador today.”

Sounds like any other celebrity appointed ambassadorship or other positions not knowing anything about it beforehand. How "inspiring."

Ah comedians in Japan. Is there anything they can`t do? Is there ever a day when they are not in the news?

Every Japanese seems to be a comedian of some sort. I guess the whole country must be a joke.

    Samuraiiki - harsh, but fair

Given that the quality of housing in Japan is truly a JOKE, this seems ironically appropriate!

She's 35. This survey happens every 5 years. I'm a moron who has lived in Japan less than 35 years. I know about this survey. Why doesn't she? Can I be the PR ambassador for the government's anti-smoking campaign? I don't know anything about it but that's okay, isn't it?
