I am devastated, because I like him so much and I can watch him on American Idol on TV but I cannot watch X-Factor. Please, dear Simon, please reconsider.

So what for some, sure, but Simon is a genius...or an evil genius. Think about it---people watch to hate him, thus increased ratings and more ad money. He promotes horrible music like that WWF record, yet it sells millions of copies. He knows what the massess will buy, and watch. This is a blow for AI, but FOX and Simon will win as he created and owns X Factor.

Is there any discernible difference between the X Factor and Idol? Or Britain's Got Talent, for that matter?

This season, original host Paula Abdul has been replaced by Ellen DeGeneres.

With the above and no Simon Cowell, I think the show is goneski.

In this day and age when everyone wants fame even when undeserved, a sudden reality check when you've been daydreaming for years sure hurts. And that's why people hate Simon Cowell, for dashing the hopes of wannabes.
