David Lynch to make 'Twin Peaks' return after all

Showtime really must have had to go tail between legs and head bowed when they went to apologize to Lynch. Now they just have to do EVERYTHING he says, no questions asked, and the series can be made and will exist. Because it certainly won't without him.

Well, I'm happy about this. But it wasn't simply a "pay dispute." It was a budget dispute: "I left because not enough money was offered to do the script the way I felt it needed to be done;" i.e., he wanted a bigger per-episode budget, not just a big salary for himself. Although he may have wanted that as well.
