TOKYO —
DeNA Co and Marvel Entertainment have unveiled “Marvel: War of Heroes,” coming soon exclusively for mobile devices on DeNA’s Mobage social games platform. Featuring original art by popular Marvel artists and a brand-new narrative, “Marvel: War of Heroes” will provide a fast-paced card-battle action experience.
Pre-registrations for “Marvel: War of Heroes” are available at www.mobage.com/marvel; the title will be available as a free download on iOS and Android devices this fall.
All pre-registered users will be rewarded with a special limited edition card featuring a popular Marvel character for in-game use.
“We’ve worked closely with Marvel to handcraft our first Marvel game,” said Neil Young, director of DeNA and CEO of DeNA’s U.S. subsidiary ngmoco, LLC. “Marvel: War of Heroes brings legendary characters to life in the hugely popular card-battle game genre.”
“Marvel is always looking for new and innovative ways for our fans and gamers to enjoy our characters and stories,” said Rob Steffens, EVP Operations & Planning of Marvel Entertainment. “By teaming up with DeNA, a proven leader in the mobile game space, we’re able to deliver a premium and action-packed mobile gaming experience.”
In “Marvel: War of Heroes,” players step into the shoes of a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and team up with iconic Marvel Heroes to battle evil. The story is a completely original script, written in cooperation with Marvel. Players recruit classic characters from Spider-Man to Hulk to Iron Man, evolve and fuse powers and abilities to build stronger teams and challenge the most dangerous foes. New characters and events will be added on a regular basis, ensuring a continually evolving gameplay experience.

So, this is a piggyback game for Avengers, a movie that is available throughout the rest of the world and will actually be on sale in Bluray just two weeks after the Japanese release... I will refuse to even consider this thing because of how they belittle their audience and are just seeking massive profits.
