This is hardly a major blitz, it is a release of a minor casual game that has nothing in common with superb Star Wars titles such as the X Wing series, the Jedi Knight Series, Knights of the Old Republic, the actual Games not the junk MMO of that name, and that series mentioned is a poor watered down and Disneyized cheap off shoot of a very very good five season animated series, called the Clone Wars. Disney is showing its total lack of understanding and respect for the very fine Star Wars story line and amazing series of games, stories, books, games and movies by cheapening and glitzing over the Clone Wars format. Previews of it show Disney inserting slangy and cheap "popular" jargon and diction to make the series into another watered down homogonized consumer product. What we fears would happen when Disney pirated the Star Wars francise is happening. None of this news is newsworthy or respected by those of us who have worked with and greatly admire and respect the depth and the complexity of the original Star Wars canon.

I would think the excellent mmo Star wars the old republic will be pushed a bit, though the target for that will likely be a revenue stream increasing because of the movie.

Disney should go big time--bring back Jar Jar! "Meesa Star Wars: Jar Jar Commander" or "Jar Jar's Star Wars Rebels: Meesa Spark of Rebellion" or "Episode VII: The Return of Jar Jar."
