DJ OZMA to auction stage costumes

Singer DJ OZMA, who announced his retirement last year, will sell his stage costumes on Yahoo!Auction from Wednesday. Some money raised through the auction will be donated to the United Nations for the poor in Bangladesh, his agent said.
DJ OZMA will sell about 300 costumes he has so far used in his performances. But the costumes he used in his famous appearance on NHK’s Red&White Singing Contest in 2007, which caused a lot of trouble with the public broadcaster, will not be sold for “decency reasons,” said his agent.

The picture begs the question -- why would anyone want to go on national televison to advertise how underwhelming they are physically? Guy is certainly no "Boston Dangler".
