Ebi-chan celebrates 32nd birthday with release of photobook

Model Yuri Ebihara celebrated her 32nd birthday on Sunday with the release of her photobook "EBI01 (Ebi-ichi)" (1,500 yen from Shogakukan) at Fukuya book store in Shinjuku.

Ebihara, popularly known as Ebi-chan, got a surprise when she was presented with a 60-cm-high macaron cake. "It's awesome! And so lovely," she gushed.

When a reporter asked whether she and husband, Rip Slyme vocalist Ilmari, 36, have any plans to start a family, Ebi-chan answered "Maybe next year or the year after."

Beauty and brains to profit from it. She's definitely got it going for herself. I don't expect her to resort to cheap tactics in order to stay in the limelight like Aki Hoshino.

Hope her marriage lasts longer than Norika Fujiwara's did. At least by a couple weeks.

Nods, please fix the type....macaron cake. Needs another O in there.

I think it might be correct, my guess is they are referring to the French confection macaron and not the Scottish or North American macaroon (I didn't see the cake though).

Nods to Riza. Never heard of that French one. Never liked over priced and over rated French food anyway, but the people make me smile.

Alternatively, they may have forgotten the "i" at the end, and Ebi-Chan was given a 60-cm cake made entirely of pasta.

I prefer Yamada Yu. Ebi-chan looks shrimpy though.

Another trashy and sleazy book that will be banned from my home.

She is very beautiful but I am glad she is not modelling for McDonalds ebi-burger anymore. Having to waddle past that picture every day when I was 10 months pregnant did NOT do much for my state of mind!

Hot girl, hotter hubby! She's one of the only models/talento I can stomach.

"macaron cake"

I have never had a macaron cake. Does anyone here recommend them?

I guess Ebi chan will still look ravishing when she's 50.

You are joking...how many J women still look elegant after 40?...The elegant, sophisticated life stops once they married or reach late 30s...

Even their skins start to rot after that age....

Obviously depends on where you are looking but on any given Sunday at a place like Ginza or any upmarket department store anywhere there are tons of beautiful elegant 40 year old J women..

Obviously you only look at them, not wait till they speak...or act...lol. Elegance is not just about looks...!
