Enka singer Hiroshi Itsuki to host InterFM program

TOKYO —

Enka singer Hiroshi Itsuki, 60, will be the regular host for a new radio program on InterFM “Hiroshi Itsuki meets R&E” from 11pm on Thursdays. Based on the theme of Rhythm and Enka (R&E) Itsuki will introduce both his favorite pop music as well as enka songs such as his own “Yokohama Tasogare” which will be released in English later next week.

In an official comment, Itsuki said, “Being a DJ and liking a variety of music genres, I hope my listeners will enjoy different types of both Japanese and non-Japanese music.”
