Sarge, just thinking about that statement has just made me feel very ill deep inside.

I'm still happy for Erika and her new life as a wife. Hope she'll get back to work asap after this wedding stuff.

What a dreadful place to have a wedding reception! Doutor is one place I avoid in Japan because of the stench of smoke. Horrible place. Drink a coffee there and you are liable to get lung cancer. I cant understand why this pair would even dream of doing this, exccept that possibly they are being paid a fortune by the Doutor Coofee Company for the publicity.

she should marry Uno Kanda and they can have wedding ceremonies in Hawaii 3 times a year

    But Doutour coffee is horrible....

    realist,

Don't worry, they'll be nowhere near a Doutour coffee shop. They'll be at the company FARM in Hawaii. Very pleasant.

Don't lump Erika in with Uno- her entire wedding apparently cost 800,000 yen, not an expensive wedding by anyone's standards. Uno on the other hand has reportedly spend 300 million yen to date on her weddings, which in this age of recession and mass layoffs is almost criminally extravagant.

Mauka Meadows, which is Doutor's coffee farm, looks like a nice enough place to have a wedding. Relatives of mine had wedding parties in the family vineyard, which is a similar kind of place.

I will extend a warm happy wedding greeting to the couple.

borscht Thanks for the reassurance - I also, like them, will be nowhere near a Doutor Coffee Shop!

  • Ninjazilla at 12:51 AM JST - 26th January

    Doutour should be called cancermour

  • TokyoGas at 02:11 PM JST - 26th January

Silly question, but who are these people?

  • anon99 at 01:03 AM JST - 28th January

Simply put, these two are just playing a dangerous game. They will end up with more controversy -- if not trouble -- soon.

I really lament SDP's frailty and inability in failing to control the whole situation, esp. in this wedding initiative.

The Japanese tabloid media are very effective in "foiling" parties like these. Will expect aerial shots in the later weeks......
