Ex-Morning Musume member Natsumi Abe comments on public kiss claims

TOKYO —
Former Morning Musume member Natsumi Abe, 30, attended a publicity event for her musical “Dracula” at the Tokyo International Forum on Sunday night, but the tabloid reporters were more interested in who she has been kissing recently than the musical.
According to the gossip press, Abe attended an after-performance party with costars Yoka Wao, 43, Mari Hanafusa, 38, and actor Soma Suzuki, 50. At the party, several people reportedly saw Abe publicly kissing 25-year-old costar Ikusaburo Yamazaki.
When asked if they were dating, Abe replied, “We’re just good friends.” Although she didn’t confirm that there had been a kiss, Abe did say, “I was a bit drunk. I’m a lightweight, so I don’t have to drink much to get drunk.”
The musical “Dracula” runs until Sept 11 at the Tokyo International Forum.

Let's see. Libya, Syria, Fukushima, Collapsing Stock Markets, Record High Yen, Gaza Shelling, Japanese Unemployment, Contaminated Foods......Natsume Abe Kissing.
In the 19th Century Marx said that religion was the Opiate of the masses. But clearly in the 21st century, it is the celebrity that enables the masses to dismiss real issues in favor of pointless fluff that means absolutely nothing to the masses. Leaving legions of people world wide hanging on every word about people they don't know, never will know and who don't care about them in return. Opiate sounds just about right. Addictive, temporarily pleasurable, distracting, ultimately doing nothing positive for you and leaving you dazed to your real concerns.
Thanks JT for perpetuating the addiction with this wonderful Abe Kissing story.

How dare she kiss in public. She brought shame upon her whole country with this action. Gotta watch CNN now for updated reports on the story.

This is a good thing to know.

This might be proof of a contractual violation, as ridiculous as that would be.

I don't get why some women get in so much media hot water over something so trivial while others get away with well, cheating, being the other women... and nothing.

Apparently it's news because she's a cougar in Japanese terms, haha!

There is really not too much history of kissing and it's presumed that it happened as part of courtship and sexual foreplay. Therefore it's rather instinctive thus allowing prospective mates to taste each others pheromones for biological compatibility and also judge potential mates on the quality of kiss as a sign of a potential lover's personality and ability to commit. Unfortunately many Japanese men, well possibly cause they feel shame seem to only like kissing passionately when they're in an extraordinary emotional state. But with foreign men, it is a different ball game. No problema. Hence kissing boost immunity, burns calories, keeps your facial muscles strong, a great stress-reliever and after all makes you healthy.

Why are people complaining about this being news, even though it's in the Entertainment section. In Japan it is considered news. This is Japan Today. If you want serious news stories, go the the politics, crime, national, world, or business sections. Plenty of news there. That being said, I could care less about Abe kissing a co-star.
