Fashion show means Okinawa homecoming for Yu Yamada

OKINAWA —
Actress and model Yu Yamada, 27, who was born and raised in Okinawa, made a triumphant return home this week to take part in the “Ryukyu Asia Collection” fashion show. Yamada was welcomed home by fans at the Ginowan Okinawa Convention Center. She said her grandmother was in the audience, the first time she had ever seen Yamada on the catwalk.
Altogether, around 50 models took to the stage, which was decorated to reflect the show’s theme of “Passion,” including Yuri Ebihara, 31, and Moe Oshikiri, 31. Around 4,000 local fans gathered to see the girls model in Ginowan for the first time.

Yeah, it's the water.....awamori!
While Yu is a beautiful woman herself, there are plenty more walking around the streets here in anonymity that would give her more than a run for her money.
