The populace will always carry the debt for any war. -In many of these cases their debt is perpetual and in reality a form of slavery they live with from birth to death. I am against the war mongering and debt systems (fiat) that bankroll them.
I have a couple times tried to explain to a Japanese person that, to the rest of the world, it seems a little disingenuous for Japan to continuously use the fact that they were nuked to parade around the world in the name of peace. And the answer I always get is, "But we lost the war! So many people were sacrificed!" And I'm like, Well did you forget that your goal was to completely rule the world under an empire that espoused a policy of rape and murder?? Damn right you lost, and every nation in the world is thankful for it. When I think of those nations that "lost" the war, I think of Poland, Czechoslovakia, etc. Japan didn't "lose;" it was stopped.
My ex girlfriend told me thats the reason Japanese students are taught English in school. She said "If Japan had won, you would be learning japanese" hahaha ohhh she was a funny one.

I get sick and tired of them milking this issue for over 64 years since the event happened. Sad? Yes, but unfortunately necessary.
Until they understand WHY it happened, and think about their country's atrocities in Asia, noone is going to side with them.

Nuclear weapons keep the peace. I am glad we have them.
