It's about the theft of the plans of the first Death Star... completely different plot to any of the Star Wars films before.

@ThePBot : I follow Ray Park ( the guy who played Darth Maul) , and recently he and Donnie became best buddies. He is studying Donnie's style, apparently. Park himself is not filming anything, but I don't know, Donnie could be elderly Maul's apprentice. Darth Maul hates both the Jedi and the Sith.

It was pretty much the same story line, bunch of characters on planet, someone feels the force, the dark side closes in, death star in tow, fighting breaks out, need to find access hole in death star, fire last shot in hole, death star explodes, smiles all round, it was done BEFORE already

@GW - sorry... Can see how I wasn't clear, but I was talking about the plot of this new one. Certainly are parallels between episodes 4 and 7

Not a big fan of spin-offs, but this looks amazing.

Its kind of annoying that most of the speculation is about the familial relationship of the main character rather than whether it is a good movie or not.

I prefer a Star Wars galaxy in which the main characters don't have to all secretly be related to each other. Like things were in the very first Star Wars, when nobody was related to anybody else (well, except uncle Owen and Aubt Beru, but they weren't main characters).

I expect two things to happen.

Someone will say, "I've got a bad feeling about this."

A lot of Bothans are going to die.
