TOKYO —
Actresses Miki Maya, 44, Asaka Seto, 31, Ryoko Hirosue, 28, and ex-volleyball player Kaoru Sugayama, 29, were named as having the most beautiful legs at the annual Parcassio Beautiful Leg Awards. The event was organized by six shoemakers. Parcassio is an artificial leather used in their products.
Maya, who recently got married, said, “When I told my husband about the award, he said, ‘I actually have beautiful legs, too.’”
Seto, who is married to pop group V6 member Yoshihiko Inohara, was also asked about her husband’s reaction but declined to answer clearly because of advice from his agent Johnny’s, while Hirosue said “No comment.”
Sugayama said, “I didn’t wear high heels at all before because it’s painful. But the new fabric Parcassio is very comfortable.”

It's good to see women being judged solely on their appearance. It gives the message that their personalities and brains are worthless and their value depends on what men decide it is.
Maybe they could have a legs, breasts and arse competition next. I don't think just legs is demeaning enough.
Also, well done all those women who meekly accepted their prizes with a pat on the head. That trophy is going to advance women's rights a thousand-fold.

cow76 - you know if someone offered you a TROPHY for having some appealing feature, you'd take it.
Who doesn't love trophies? And who doesn't love leggists for that matter?

so your wife wins a leg contest, you have a reaction, but she can only give a not clear reporting of your reaction because your agent says so?

by 'most beautful legs' do they mean 'knock-kneed'?

They all have good legs. I wonder about the men's classification, or is there only women's division?

Now - who did the shaving of the legs? Some look a little bit red, like skin irritation.

Well, at least they are not bow legged. However, best leg award, geez, can't they think of maybe "Best Brians or Academic Achievement" or something that will actually benefit their society. This kind of stuff should not be in the headlines or photo of the day for sure!!!!

And, as has been the trend in Japan over the last decade or so, skinny. None of them have what I consider nice legs.

Seto-san should have showed more! Sugayama-san is #1!

No comment, never used to wear high heels .... Hahahaha, sounds like a another useless award to try and help build sales. But I have always been a fan of Setosan, she's type :)

Don't get me wrong, I think she's cute as a button, but her legs aren't really that nice in the photo. They're all skinny and shiny.

Why can't I click on the picture to make it larger so I can make a better decision? :D

Who in the hell can make any kind of comment on their legs based on that photo? The image has been downsized so much, you can't see any details clearly.
Anyway, my vote goes to the one on the right, based on the simple fact she's wearing a mini-skirt. And as we all know, J-girls plus mini-skirts = yummy. =)
