'Game of Thrones' to get fan convention

Love GoT... not enough to go to Nashville but still a major fan.

So an American tvshow has a fanevent in Nashville, America and this is on JT why? If it was held in Japan which I assumed after reading the headline, I could understand.

GoT has become a little bit less engaging of late, despite great cinematics and staged battles..... Can only imagine what this fan event would be like

Yeah, I thought this was something going on in Japan. This current season is almost over. C'mon Martin.... yah gotta push out the last books! We don't want you to die before then!

Too bad this is not coming to Japan, it should. GoT is just one of the best shows on TV, and last weeks episode proved that, but now we're 13 episodes left before the show sadly comes to an end. Next year season 7 will have only 7 episodes and season 8 2018 6 episodes.

GoT pretty good. I'm a a fan.

This season has, many have said, suffered from not having the original source material to draw on.

But I wonder. GRRM just does too much, and therefore not enough when translated to the teevee,

Dorn was a total bust. Jamie in the River Runs was actually cool, but in the end, not really relevant now that the Ice is coming from the North and the Fire from the East. The intercene plotting and intrigue, so cool in seasons 1 -4 really just don't matter when an army of Whigts is bearing down on you.

And Arya. Oh, Arya. We spent two seasons in Braavos and know even less about the Faceless Men than when we started, other than it has a population of two (now one, that the Waif is dead) and it the only Death Cult with a get out of jail free card. I am not pleased with how they took a totally cool jaqen h'ghar and...bleh.

And Arya swaggering around like a tosser (I got that, right?), those stabs to the stomach....That's just terrible writing.
