My condolences. It's sad to think of dying in a foreign country a long way from home and family.

"country to teach lessons in the hot springs resort town" Hope she was on a working visa. The government might want to deport her remains. Sad that someone died so far away. Japan might be the worst place to have a aneurysm. Every Japanese person I know who has had one has died. I have known 5 over the years here. Unlike the USA where I have known 3 people all of whom survived. One even had brain surgery and was released the next day. Out patient brain surgery. The US can do that but Japan just lets them die off. Too many meetings to decide what to do.
