As the year draws to a close and 2014 pokes its head over the horizon, Harry Potter fans in Japan are finding it harder to contain their excitement over next summer's opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios, Osaka.
Fan photos on Twitter show how the progress is going, with an awesome train service and a near-complete replica of Hogwarts Castle that looks exactly like the one on film.
The trains are currently serving passengers on the Osaka loop line. And you don’t have to run through a brick wall to catch one.
When complete, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Japan will be the only one outside of the States, second only to the one at Universal Studios Orlando.
Just like its Florida counterpart, the Japanese version will recreate an entire town devoted to the world of Harry Potter, including Ollivanders Wand Shop, a tavern serving pints of Butterbeer and a toy store offering Screaming Yo-yos.

Not a harry potter fan but that castle looks fun. Wonder what kind of attractions will be inside besides the shops.

I agree with CGB, so far Osaka has just been a second-rate version of Tokyo.. Everything it has Tokyo does better. Not now.

I guess people have already forgotten "EXPO 70" held in Osaka ? Maybe they were not yet in Japan ? Or not born yet ?

Nobody else finds it weird that Harry Potter is a Warner Bros movie but they have a Harry Potter attraction at Universal Studios.

I am glad that Harry potter trains and towering Hogwarts castle appear in Japan. Because, Harry potter is very popular movie and many people is long for to see the real Hogwarts castle and a stick, broom etc. If it has at Japan it is good because, many tourists from all parts of the world visit and Osaka (Japan) finance will be rise at tourism industry.
