Hikaru Utada to release autobiography

TOKYO —

Singer-song writer Hikaru Utada, 25, will release her first autobiography next spring to mark the 10th anniversary of her debut. She will reveal details of her life, including her marriage and divorce, through two books.

The autobiography consists of two different books, “Ten” (dot) and “Sen” (line). The former is about her private life and the latter is a compilation of her web diary over the past 10 years.

Cool. A two-part autobiography by someone who is 25 years old. At 50, she can release parts 3 and 4. Looking forward to reading parts 5 and 6. At least she has accomplished something in the last ten years.

So did she write it or did her father?

She's been through a lot in 10 years, I think it could be quite interesting.

I agree. I think it would make an interesting read - her life growing up in the US, coming back to Japan and having the media be nasty about her Japanese, her lack of being Japanese, her music, her marriage, her divorce, her cancer and her mom being busted for drugs and money in the US. Man, is she only 25?? "Automatic" was the first Japanese CD I bought!

Stop hating on Hikki, she is the best thing to happen to the Japanese Music industry in the last 20 years.
