What a nice thing to do. The movie is really cute and Hokkaido was very well portrayed on film. Hopefully more film producers will shoot in Hokkaido.

jeeez... kushiro is a dump! (the city itself..the outskirts are gorgeous) The only place I have ever been in Japan that has a public announcement at night in the streets warning its citizens to be on the lookout for 'suspicious things and suspicious foreigners'..I was gobsmacked.Abashiri is nice but there is very little to do other than the icefloes which are rarely around these days and the prison museum.Shiretoko(especially Utoro) ,Asahikawa,Otaru and Hakodate are much nicer places to visit.I only saw two Chinese in Hokkaido and they were both working in a hotel.

Ive been in China 6months now and got a big kick out of seeing Hokkaido in that movie...which I thoroughly enjoyed watching...Hsu Qi is hot too...I laughed even more when I saw the priest in that flick is played by a friend living in Tokyo But yea it was quite a hit on the mainland and had me answering alot of questions about Japan from local friends got me all nastkashii 'n all.........Time for the crawler to head back to Shibuya!
