........autopsy results would take a minimum of six to eight weeks.

On Morse and Lewis they are available the next day.

Agghh this shouldn't be happening to the Blues Boy, I hope this doesn't prove to be true that would be awful!

Also would hate to see what happened with the Hendrix family happen to the Kings, very unfitting.

Boy, how blue can you get!

King, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member who died in Las Vegas on May 14, had said earlier in the month he was in hospice care at his home after being hospitalized in April with dehydration related to diabetes.

If the man was in Hospice Care, then the hospital had already done all they could and felt he was in the last stage of a terminal illness:

Hospice care provides medical services, emotional support, and spiritual resources for people who are in the last stages of a serious illness, such as cancer or heart failure. Hospice care also helps family members manage the practical details and emotional challenges of caring for a dying loved one.

The goal is to keep you comfortable and improve your quality of life.

Hospice programs offer services in your own home or in a hospice center. Some hospices also offer services in nursing homes, long-term care facilities, or hospitals.

I have to wonder why the daughters would feel he was poisoned after doctors had presumably looked for all possible ways to treat him. Perhaps they are just miffed that someone outside the family was made executor. I was recently brought into my father's will as the executor when the time comes, but fortunately both my siblings are (so far) fine with that arrangement.

"Our coroner takes jurisdiction over #BBKing body, performs autopsy."

@Frederic Bastiat

He was a beloved, yet overweight 89-year-old black man suffering from diabetes (I mentioned all these because of risk factors). He was on hospice care due to complications from his disease. Hospice care means you are terminally ill and are being kept comfortable. Sad that his gold-digging family is doing this. I've attended a few autopsies, and I wish I hadn't read this story, knowing what they will do to him.

The gold diggers will be disappointed when the lawyers help themselves to the majority of the estate in costs.

Autopsy means using forensic medicinal procedure. It is not just cut up corpse. In this kind of case, checking needle mark on entire body, Checking life support liquid, bed area, finger prints on last food tray, etc etc. 8 weeks is conservative estimation in Clark County because progression of modern medicine. Used to take longer when they had to do autopsy on bodies found in desert or in some mansions. To avoid autopsy in Clark County Coroners Office, Murderers choose corpse in drum cans and float in Pacific or Atlantic Ocean or murdered in Northeastern state and buried in shallow cornfield etc.
