Insomniac cinephiles in Tokyo can rejoice as the Ikebukuro arthouse Shin Bungeiza continues its series of all-night Saturday movie marathons. Kicking off at 10:30 p.m. and costing just ¥2,300-¥3,000 for four or five films, they’re a great way to see a lot of films at once or just get out of the rain after you’ve missed the last train home.
July 18 is devoted to the work of João Pedro Rodrigues, whose films explore gay culture in Portugal. July 25 is horror night, with the lineup including the 1974 cult classic "Black Christmas" and the 1981 summer camp slasher "The Burning," which features early performances by Jason Alexander and Holly Hunter.

Man... living in a less cosmopolitan part of Japan this past couple years, reading this article makes me envious of folks living in Tokyo :-) I wish there were more art, international, and classic films playing around here...
