Izumi Mori launches dogwear fashion brand Celebra Dog

TOKYO —

Model and celebrity Izumi Mori, 26, brought her chihuahua to an event in Minami Aoyama this week to show off 10 items from her new autumn-winter range of fashion accessories for dogs, called Celebra Dog.

Mori, herself an owner of five dogs and one pig, said that she thinks about her dogs 24 hours a day, and hopes many cute dogs will wear the new accessories.

Among the items is a French one-piece available in black, pink or blue, and sells for 3,980 yen. The down jacket that comes in gold or silver and costs 4, 980 yen is not to be missed. All the items come in eight different sizes, ensuring the perfect fit for beloved pets. They also come with a hanger and storage bag for days off.

More photos of the dogs in their cute gear can be seen at http://www.liberoinc.co.jp/

24 year old Mori sure is living in a fantasy world. Let us be happy that she has given shelter to atleast 6 living beings.

People in Japan are living in parks and this priviledged class moron is touting the glories of expensive dog clothing

Good point, but this line doesn't look very expensive compared to a lot of the stuff that's on offer in Japan's pet boutiques (eg $1,000 Bulgari collars etc).

Do they do cats as well?

Dunno... some of the items seem to have little fur collars. That could be cat.

This is not worthy of a comment,

I totally agree with you "tkoind2", your comments are spot on. Why don't we ever see or read about these idiot "talento" doing anything good, like handing out food to the homeless in a shelter or donating money to a women's refuge etc !!!!!

Rugbyfan: eh? because they don't care. do you help or give any money?

if you want your j girlfriend to give you some special treatment, then get her pooch some of this fancy gear. there's another site which has other types of things, including furniture, pmabrand.com.

No "franz75" not because they don't care, but because they have all that wealth and celebrity and don't put it to good use. Look at people like Lady Diana, Bono, and Bill Gates (of course on a much grander scale)they have had an impact on the world. Now even silly, brainless "talento" could surley put there time and money to better use, if even on a much smaller scale. Don't you think? And yes I do help and give money in my city.

  • Inakadazebaby at 11:34 AM JST - 4th September

ironchef what country are you from? I know you can buy clothes for dogs in the US, UK, Australia etc. Which is no different from "this country". What is a little different is this story's newsworthiness.

If she really cared about dogs, she'd use her celeb status to draw attention to the countless unwanted and discarded curs gathered up and gassed on any given day.

Why would she do that? There is no money in it.

That's because in Japan that wouldn't help your image I guess. If you see an american celebrity doing something good, in USA, people would think "what a nice person! I will see her/his movie!". In Japan, they don't need that, they just need to show their face and people go to see the movie as they are suggested ... and if the talento does something nice, people won't care anyways...

I guess that's also a difference in culture. Outside of Japan, al ot of people feel guilty not to help others and seeing a celebrity doing so might make them think "this better is better than me" and improve the image of the celebrity. In Japan, they would just think "Why should I help them? I don't know those people! If the talento wants to help them, fine! That's her time and mney".

Well, that's only an idea ...
