TOKYO —
Model Izumi Mori, 26, on Monday won the 2nd Japan Make-up Award in Tokyo. Mori was chosen through online voting. Mori, who appeared in a long black dress, said, “I often use darker foundation because I like tanned skin color. Today, I made up myself to be sexy.”

Test it on humans, starting with her.

Agree with the consensus that the dog make-up comment is pretty amazing, but, I have to give her kudos for her "I like tanned skin color" quote. I get so tired of seeing the women here in the middle of summer with long black sleeves, gloves, and hiding under an umbrella. Give me a bronzed goddess anytime.

Wow, from the title I thought this would be an award meant for make-up artists, not their canvases.
And I agree with Mrs. Cleo. What sort of make-up could possibly go on a dog without making it uncomfortable? It's bad enough some people dye their dogs and put them fake nails with hellokitties and rhinestones!

"She needs to trim her eyebrows she looks like Bert!!"
Don't say this. All you are doing is encouraging her to shave off her eyebrows and pencil them back in, so she can join the legions of bizarre looking fishpeople wandering around. Seriously, why do women do that, it looks awful.
Ms. Mori, on the other hand, looks great. Too bad about the whole "dog make-up" thing...

Ah, the heights to which the careers of Japanese women can soar. Must be an inspiration to school girls all over the country.

Look, don't put make up on dogs.
When a dog sees a dead animal, it'll roll around on it.
When a dog sees a pile of poo, it'll roll around on it.
A dog with boink anything.
Don't make dogs cute.

Why can't they use the same ones as the good looking women?

OK, she wins the award for "Weirdo."

Forget her appearance or the award if you want, but I fully agree with this one bit of the line being "I like tanned skin color". Which some women have naturally though not tanned by the sun or tanning machines.
Bleached like skin looks terrible. Fact is as a normal Cdn whitie I have to admit that so many of us look so close to death in skin colour while some have toned skin as being part of live----how lucky.

Hey don't be so tough about the dog cosmetics thing - could just be lost in translation, especially since in English "cosmetics" is defined as any product to care or beautify the skin, scalp or hair. So could just be a nice doggy shampoo range.
carlosgodoy1 at 11:59 AM JST - 11th November
Stanoue- I beg to differ - she won the award for Best make-up for her face - and mentions "foundation" specifically. She did not win for her hair, her scalp - your "Doggy shampoo range" explanation just doesnt... wash. So we're back to "She's an idiot."
And just on that note'
