He dresses quite fine but most importantly he sings very well, he has a great voice and interpretes the Japanese traditional songs profoundly. I am moved by his songs and the most important thing for a singer is to move the heart of the audience. i think his message reaches to the audience and he has a solid fan base. Well done, Jero, you are one of the best enka singers now!
Umiyuki’’ (Ocean Snow), about a heartbroken woman and her unrequited love
I love the timeless theme of the song, it brings tears to my eyes, so painful, beautiful, emotional, anybody who has broken heart will love this song...

Jero is a twat, can'T even hold a not properly. He's just a gimmick, oh wow a black man singing Enka, yawn....
He also looks like he dresses himself blindfolded.
I agree, but I must say this is the trend for must hipidy hop singers and listeners. Such a shame they lack the knowledge on how to dress appropriately. Or just don't care for it, either way I don't listen to that type of music.
I have noticed that none of the info on him talks about his beginnings working as an English teacher in Japan. I would have thought this was a reasonably important part of telling the story of a guy who made it to the top who wasn't always there and had to do what was probably not on his list of want to dos but did it to achieve his dream, ie sacrifices to attain his goal. I am not a fan but earthcreature and thenewfront, if you think he can't hold a note you are surely tone deaf yourselves.
You go Jero! I agree with most here, not only can he carry a note, but he made it through hard work and humility. Lots of haters out there, but he has risen above them all. Envy is only one of the 7 deadly sins.
well for people like Thenewfront 99.9999% of the world are twats except for his immediate family, a few friends, and the handful of singers he happens to listen to. I'm not an Enka fan, but admittedly he is extremely good in his profession.
People have been calling Jero a gimmick since he staterd singing, that was more than a year ago, people said it would all stop at Umiyuki, but no, he got his second album out there and Eisa is already a hit.
Stop hating on the guy.

more power to anyone who does something with their life, instead of complaining about other's choices and not improving themselves. . . ::rolls eyes::

Jero will make the festival more interesting. Maybe MTV can send someone to cover the performance. Blossoms will make for pleasant TV viewing.
