TOKYO —

Pop group Arashi will make a 4-city tour of Asia starting in September, Johnny’s Jimusho said Sunday. The tour will kick off in Tokyo on Sept 5, and then visit Taipei for concerts on Oct 11 and 12, followed by Seoul on Nov 1 and 2, and finally Shanghai on Nov 15.

Organizers said they expect 173,000 fans to attend the tour.

  Now why did I know that someone would crack a tasteless joke as per the first post? Business per usual I see. But regardless, great for them to tour and promote friendship and cultural exchange with their asian neighbors.

  Is it even worth the trouble to go on a world tour that draws 173,000 people total? There are Starbucks in Shanghai that do better business.

  173,000 x about 50 bucks a head = probably worth it.
