KARA leader Park Gyuri to have surgery on vocal cords

TOKYO —
Park Gyuri, the 23-year-old lead vocalist for popular all-girl Korean group KARA, will have surgery to remove a polyp on her vocal cords on Tuesday, the group’s agency DSP Media announced Monday.
Gyuri had been complaining of a sore throat since last November, DSP said.
The group kicked off their long-awaited Asia tour in Seoul on Feb 18. The tour, titled “KARASIA,” will also see the girls give concerts in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand, as well as a five-city tour of Japan starting April 14.
KARA’s management said Gyuri will be recovered in time for the Japan tour which sees the girls perform in Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka — with two concerts at each venue.
The group has appeared at live events many times in Japan, but they usually only sang one or two songs to promote CDs or to meet and greet fans.

Interesting her name is spelled Park, when it is pronounced 'Pak'.
Anyway it is spelled, she is certainly easy on the eyes!

Park Gyuri is the thick one right? The rest of them look a bit skinny but this is the one had actually ate lunch, right? I have to go back and watch the STEP video. I know she's the one on the right that God blessed with curves and a nice bum.
I hope she gets better. KARA is nothing without her.

surgery on vocal cords to be able to sing?! I am very impressed how music on ASIA just have space for these kind of commercial trash. I don't wish bad things for anybody, but in terms of music, this chikan bands makes me sick

Oh yes!! This girl is very talented and it's really such a nice way for Korean girls to show Japan and the rest of Asia that they have the looks and talent. KARA makes AKB 48 and all the other Japanese girl groups look like little kids. In looks, dance and voice talen they got em beat!!! Get better soon Park Gyuri!!!!
