Actress Kazue Fukiishi, 26, was in a fighting mood this week at an event to promote her TV commercial campaign for a sports drink made in collaboration between Asahi Soft Drinks and Kagome. “Spo Vege,” a vegetable-based sports drink, will go on sale April 7. The commercial started airing on Friday.
Fukiishi demonstrated her athletic prowess on stage when she kicked “Ninjin-kun”—a character in the shape of a carrot—several times. Fukiishi later said: “I’d like a guy who would let me kick him, and then we can drink Spo Vege together afterwards.”
